Donna Mae Bruner

Donna Mae Bruner, age 85, of Whitefish, MT went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 25, 2022. She was born June 10, 1937 in Wolf Point, MT to the late Charles William Rathert and Frances E. Rathert (Lund).

Donna deeply loved her family and family gatherings and her time traveling with her late husband Merv to their home in Arizona for the winter months. Donna was an easy going, kind, generous, and loving soul. She was a member of Summit Life Church in Whitefish. Before becoming a full time home maker, Donna pursued a profession in the banking business. Donna loved animals, especially her dog Gracie. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing piano, rummage sale shopping, lunch and game dates with her friends, and her stained glass classes when she and Merv lived in Arizona.

Donna is survived by daughter, Kim Porter (Russ); daughter, Karen Koday (Mark); son, Chuck Freeman (Heidi); son, Mike Freeman (Heidi); daughter, Diane Bruner Mundell; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, William Rathert; brother, Chuck Rathert; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by husband, Mervin Bruner; and brother, Fred Rathert.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Easthaven Baptist Church, 2010 Whitefish Stage Rd, Kalispell, MT 59901. Reception to follow services. To send online condolences, please visit www.austinfh.com.
