James Cornelius Putnam Jr.

James “Jim” Cornelius Putnam, Jr., age 94, of Whitefish, MT passed away March 11, 2023. He was born November 21, 1928 in Due West, SC to the late James Cornelius Putnam, Sr. and Alma Victoria Putnam (Robertson).

Jim was a simple man that enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He was a true patriot and served in the United States Navy. Jim enjoyed listening to talk radio and watching Fox news. He will always be remembered by family and friends when gathered at the family cabin.

Jim is survived by son, Jim G. Putnam (Kathy); granddaughter, Taylar Putnam (Jared Reynolds); and sister, Patricia Billings (Tom). In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by wife, Mary Lou Putnam; and brother, Bill McCord.
