Shirley Jeanne Thorson

Shirley Jeanne Thorson, age 84, of Whitefish, MT passed away May 2, 2022. She was born on February 27, 1938 in Whitefish, MT to the late Roger Maddux and Evelyn Mae Maddux (Chase).

Jeanne was a seamstress by trade for over 50 years. She could sew anything when it came to snow mobile seats, dolls, dresses, and even stars and snowflakes on some of the Christmas time city décor. Jan, her sister, and Jeanne had a special bond, like two peas and a pod. She was also a member of Whitefish Presbyterian Church. Jeanne loved antiques and going to shows.

Jeanne is survived by her sister, Janice Maddux; sister-in-law, Donna Maddux; nieces: Anita Noony (Tom) and Angela LaRoque (Ben); and many cousins. In addition to her parents, Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband, John Maurice Thorson; infant son, John Roger Thorson; and brother, Richard Maddux.
